Find the sale price after discount, your total savings, stack double discounts — works in any currency
To find the price after a discount, multiply the original price by (1 − discount ÷ 100). A 30% discount on 2,000 works out as 2,000 × 0.70 = 1,400, saving you 600. Enter the original price and discount percentage above and the calculator shows the final price, the amount saved and the effective discount instantly — in whatever currency you're shopping in.
The tool also handles stacked (double) discounts, which trip up almost everyone. A "20% off + extra 10% off" offer is not 30% off: the second discount applies to the already-reduced price. On 1,000 that's 1,000 → 800 → 720, an effective 28% discount. Retailers advertise stacked offers precisely because they sound bigger than they are — the extra discount field above shows you the real effective percentage before you buy.
If you know the original price and what you actually paid, the mini calculator on this page finds the discount percentage using ((Original − Sale) ÷ Original) × 100. Paying 750 for a 1,000 item means 25% off. Handy for verifying that a "sale" price is genuinely a deal, comparing offers across stores, or filling in expense records. Like every ProSoftwareTools calculator, the math runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
