Generate strong, secure passwords with custom options for maximum security
Generate strong, random passwords with control over length and character types — uppercase, lowercase, numbers and symbols. Passwords are created using your browser's built-in random generator and are never transmitted or stored anywhere.
Password length matters far more than complexity. A 16-character password of random letters is dramatically harder to crack than an 8-character one with symbols, because each added character multiplies the possibilities. Security researchers now recommend at least 12 characters, ideally 16+, for anything important. The classic advice to swap letters for symbols (P@ssw0rd) no longer helps — cracking software tries those substitutions first.
The real risk isn't a weak password, it's a reused one. When any website is breached, attackers try those same email-and-password pairs everywhere else, a technique called credential stuffing. Generate a unique password for every account and store them in a password manager rather than trying to memorise them.
